Mary has been with Pima Heart & Vascular for sixteen years, she is the Lead Technologist for the Nuclear/PET department. Mary earned her Associates Degree in Radiology in 1968. “Nuclear Medicine was in an embryonic state and not really a recognized modality at the time,” she recalls. “The next few years were a combination of X-ray and limited Thyroid studies in Nuclear Medicine.”

Mary moved to Tucson in 1980, worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 13 years and then moved to TMC where she spent 6 years as the manager of the Nuclear department. She then worked for Tucson Heart Group before joining Pima Heart & Vascular. “The department had one Nuclear imaging camera and, over the last 16 years, has grown to over 8,000 cases per year. I am proud to be involved with the success and prosperity of the department,” she shared. “Pima Heart is in its 15th Accreditation which demonstrates the high standard of care and dedication to consistently maintaining Quality Improvement.”
