Curious about the new guidelines published in the article below regarding baby aspirin and how it affects you?

NPR Publication

Pima Heart and Vascular Physicians’ Statement:

The new guidelines that have recently been published pertain to individuals who have never had a cardiovascular event (examples such as a stroke, heart attack or stent). If a patient has been taking baby aspirin as a primary prevention, the guidelines suggest it is not necessary to continue. If a patient has had a cardiac event, and has been prescribed baby aspirin, they can continue as prescribed. As always, patients are welcome to make an appointment with their cardiologist if they wish to discuss further.
