Vanna has been with Pima Heart & Vascular for over 30 years. She is the Telemetry Monitoring Coordinator, scanning holter monitors and Heartrak devices with four people in her department. Vanna started with seven cardiologists, “I remember Dr. Morales being hired shortly after I came. We only had one office in Tucson and traveled to Green Valley. Those were the days we did EKGs with crème and suction cups!”
How would you describe your time at Pima Heart & Vascular?
“I seriously cannot think of a better place to be. I love my bosses and the people I work with. I’ve seen so much company growth and technical advances in this field. I am truly so proud to work for Pima Heart & Vascular.”
If you could choose any other career, what would you do?
“Work for the Arizona Cardinal Football team giving out Gatorade on the field during games! I am their #1 fan. Right now we are 7-0, so by the time this prints…Lord have mercy on my team!”
Anything else you would like to share with your Pima Heart & Vascular family?
“I’ve been married for 30 years and he’s a Vikings fan! My husband and I love to travel, go to concerts, movies and try new restaurants with friends and family. My 88 year old mother is Japanese and we have traveled all over Japan to meet my aunts, uncles and cousins. We love the culture and food. We have 1 daughter, Isabella, who we are so proud of. Another interesting fact about me? If the Cardinals go to the Super Bowl 2022, I am buying two tickets (nosebleeds are $900 each), flying in for the game and flying out the same night and working on Monday morning bright and early! Fingers and toes crossed!”
