Duties & Responsibilities
Answers phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using the AIDET customer service key words
Transfers calls according to procedures
Schedules appointments in a timely and efficient manner
Schedules appointments as directed by referring providers
Uses scheduling books routinely
Pages providers for hospital consults/call backs according to procedures
Confirming of appointments
Enters authorization information on patient account in computer
Maintains information in a confidential manner
Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner
Attended required meetings and participates in committees as required
Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
Performs related work as required
Organizes and schedules meetings
Files
Mails information to research subjects
Delivers documents for signatures (PH&V local sites)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge in the healthcare setting
Ability to effectively communicate
Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 1 year reception or phone operator experience or administrative assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Medical reception preferred, cardiology experience a plus,
Spanish speaking a plus
Pay: $14.50 – $17.00 per hour
