Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your offices located?
The vein screenings are provided at the Vein Center and by telehealth. Our office is located at 2404 E. River Rd. Building 1 Tucson, AZ 85718
How do I schedule a vein screening or appointment?
Call us at (520) 365-1441 or fill out the form above to schedule a vein screening. We also have a number of appointment options available to you including in-person and telehealth services.
What can I expect at my vein screening?
Our vein specialists will perform a review of your symptoms and a visual evaluation of your legs. Vein screenings are not diagnostic and do not provide specific data regarding a patient’s symptoms or current status. Whether the problem is a clinical one or cosmetic in nature, you will need to have an ultrasound examination. The ultrasound is a painless test which uses sound waves to visualize the veins and how blood flows within them. This test is necessary to determine the health of the valves in the vein and provides a road map for treatment. It is also required by insurance companies to document medical necessity for treatment.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.
What are your hours of operation?
Our Vein Center is open from 8-5PM., Monday through Friday. Fill out our the contact form and we’ll schedule a time that’s most convenient for you.
What do I need for my appointment?
Once you request an appointment, a representative will contact you and describe what you will need to bring with you to your appointment.
What COVID precautions are in place?
For patients coming into the clinic, we are triaging every person by assessing risk factors and taking temperatures upon entry. Universal masking is required. Our lobbies are open with limited seating to practice social distancing. Patients have the option to wait in their cars or outside until their appointment begins. Pima Heart and Vascular also offers the option of virtual telehealth appointments, so you can meet with a physician from the comfort and safety of home.
What results can I expect?
Individual results will vary based on the specific person’s anatomy. Generally, treatment of superficial venous insufficiency (leaking veins) with endovenous ablation will eliminate the problem of reflux and should help stop the symptoms of pain and discomfort. However, this treatment may not make varicose veins and/or spider veins disappear completely. Swelling related to reflux in the deep veins of your legs may persist. Additional procedures may be necessary to achieve optimal results. The ultimate goal is improving the patient’s current quality of life.
